very strange, if you look at the ATPL Met results no one(at first glance) has crossed the 50 mark, everyone has flunked.
I wonder if they mistakenly alloted each correct question 1 mark instead of 2.
Some individuals have got odd marks?

I heard the MET paper was really straight forward.

^^yep That's what it is :ok:

Thats a Record! 0 pass percentage in the Aviation Met exam!
Not one individual crossed the 50 mark barrier.
Oh DGCA, life would be so uninteresting without you :}

Writing an email to the CEO right now, lets see what they have to say.

Same for Air Regulation. No one passed the 50 mark out of a 100. I agree, they have mistakenly put 1 mark instead of 2.

Maybe they're just hoping for some money to be mailed in before they post the correct marks.:ok:

Hey this dgca results are n`t ryt, as mentioned above, no body crossed the the 50 marks barrier, i think we should form a group n talk to dgca, this will be more effective, rather than going individually...thanks...

Yes nobody passed in ATPL MET, there is some confusion for sure.

Let us know on which email id you are writing the email to the CEO, Lets all write it to DGCA about it and hopefully they might recheck our Marks...

Hello,
Just saw my result...Scored 61/100 in Nav Comp.
Was my very first attempt, so was expected.

Guys i took tuitions from Tapash Kar and also considered GSP but not throughly. So would be giving next attempt for sure. Now 2 things-

1)Now that the results are gonna be out in less than 15 days as this time's...So when would be the next attempt?
2)What are other good books for studying for nav comp. I'v heard about 1000 questions by Keith Williams...Is it a good book?

Thanks
Regards

And a big congrats to them who made it...:D

hi,
i do agree that there is an error in valuation of ATPL meteorology paper, i request the victims to send the mail or make a personal visit or phone calls to CEO. let us make our issue to fall in their ears. please dont hesitate. it is not at all possible to have such a poor result, all over India no one passed. All candidates scored less than 50. also lot of candidates got their marks in odd number, which is not possible while they allot 2 marks for each questions.

The same happened to me , my exam went very well and i scored 41...and each question carried 2 marks without any negative marking...Very strange but i guess nothing can be done now... we will have to accept dat...!!

Worst result I've ever seen. All you see is FAIL !
Something doesn't seem right here.

LieDetector

Accept that? What is wrong with you?
Whats with the mass hysteria and panic?

Its an error on their part which will be fixed sooner or later.

I am quite confident the air reg and met exam results are definitely wrong they have either given 1 mark per correct question or just calculated the total correct questions and published the result everyone please send a mail to CEO DGCA ( [email protected] ) so the matter can be brought to the attention of the authorities.

Guys, Its DGCA, whose Exam system has been made by NIC lol., stuffs gonna go wrong :P

But The brighter side is that less than 10 days to publish the result is Awesome News guys. (From 45-50 Days down to 10 is like WHoA)

This can mean more than 4 attempts a year, people could save their recency with an Extra attempt.

Good Stuff :D, Except for the Software Glitch :P

If there is one, its gonna be fixed guys, Dont worry, Just Email Them!

LieDetector
16th Dec 2011, 19:04
No, the exam is conducted by CDAC, NIC is just hosting the data.

There wouln't be more than 4 attempts, it was clearly stated by the DGCA, infact they will be limiting the number of attempts an individual can appear in from next year.

@LieDetector :eek: really?

superdunkaroos
17th Dec 2011, 06:29
Eventually it will be on a "when the candidate is ready" basis, so I assume they will introduce a cool off period and limit the number of attempts like the FAA/TC does.

Read the section that looks at the examination

guys
Ran some analysis on the results for this session on excel

For CPLG Category

607 candidates appeared for Aviation Met (excluding absentees) - All Fail, highest mark is 48.

668 candidates appeared for air regulations (minus absentees again) - All fail, highest mark 44.

similar results for the other categories in these subjects...

Whoever conducts the exam, DGCA, CDAC or NIC, The responsibility rests with DGCA and its a useless organisation if it cant even do quality control of the results uploaded on their site. Did no one think to check the result? they would have noticed the anomaly if they had.

What was the hurry to upload wrong results. I would have been happier to wait one more week if they had got it right the first time.

^^ Please refrain from posting someones name on a public forum!
You should know better than that.

Block out his name and repost if you want.

Liedetector, the info posted by Cyril above is publicly available on DGCA's website.

Surely posting it wasn't against forum rules?

Just curious.

LieDetector
18th Dec 2011, 14:27
Last time I checked DGCA was not a public forum.

This is, and whether or not it is in the rules, it is not right on cyril's part. Surely you can convey the point by blocking out his name? and besides that is not proof enough that malpractice was involved, could be possible that it is a Typo error.

So unless there is proof you are basically accusing someone and defaming him outright.

superdunkaroos
18th Dec 2011, 14:31
Agreed^^

That is not proof enough to accuse someone, and with social networking sites just a click away you might cause unnecessary harassment to someone incase he is innocent.

A small clarification

I did not make the image . I found it on facebook and copied the link here ( thats the only way you post an image on pprune )

Hence i am unable to edit it . However if you feel its damaging someone else's name I shall remove my post

Edit : I have deleted my previous post

Lie detector, That is what we are all expecting but DGCA has a habit of springing nasty surprises.
They have not announced that the marks are to be doubled and until they dont publish the new scores im not celebrating :(

Some statistics from April-2014 exam. Details are available at this site: DGCA Pilot License Exam Results And Statistics (http://www.pprune.org/www.67knots.com/dgca/results/)

ATPLG NAV and RADIO 0% pass, highest score is 62% in both! Are our CPL holders so weak in theory?

CPL NAV 26% pass, despite the highest score being 90, CPL REG 34% pass, despite highest score being 84. Similar results in CPLCG.

The trend doesn't change very much. So disappointing.

Simple truth is all these years they have had a question bank with the same questions being repeated. And all you had to do was to memorise them. Why even bother with the theory. The schools probably don't even have proper instructors for this. Now maybe, some new questions have been thrown in. So if you dont know your theory, you wont be able to answer them. Over the years I have flown with so many pilots who do not even have an understanding of the bacis' s.
