If you are a UK CAA licence holder (national or JAR licence) and have been adversely affected by the recently introduced 7 year ruling on IR validity and would like to be involved in a group action against the CAA, please e-mail your details to instrumentrating(at)gmail.com There is support from IFALPA which probably will include financial aid.

This action is centered on Hong Kong where there are a lot of pilots who have been affected by this ruling. The Hong Kong pilot's unions are preparing a test case. There must be lots of pilots affected around the world and it would make a lot of sense to co-ordiante the action.

We need to know if your licence is current, if not when it expired, when your IR expired and also what licence you are currently working under - as well as your company. There are a lot of pilots being added to the list - the final number will probably be in the hundreds. The more the merrier (and cheaper!).
