The big "How to Make it in Ryanair" thread.
The purpose for this thread is about getting the "most" out of working as a BRK-pilot at Ryanair. Topics such as : finding an ideal accommodation during Line Training/when stationed on a FR-base, the decent housing rate for a flat/apartment so you can put food on the table, being self-employed or setting up a ltd company ? the best base? approx. monthly pay for a newbie etc..
I hope this thread developes more in the future so ppl who consider to join FR can use this thread for Q&A.
Please don't turn the thread to a Ryan bashing thread, we all know how the T&C are at Ryan, The purpose i solely about how to make the most of the time in the airline.

I'm following the aviation and of course Ryanair for allmost 5 years now.. and from what I see at RYR is that it doesn't have a real recruitment policy.. Now those Irish people are complaining that RYR doesn't recruit Irish pilots anymore.. like it was with the Dutchies.. Maybe next year they won't hire Germans or so.. We'll see mate, we'll see..

The best way to make it in Ryanair is to keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth closed:ok:

the tax thing just depends on how many expenses you have to claim back. most new cadets will have a fair bit of expenses in first year so will end up not paying much if any tax

So like the way Ryanair uses us all, I will use them too. I am treating this like an internship. Get my 2000 hours ish and asses the situation. If things haven't changed for the better I will make my move to a career airline.


The problem is that the "career airline" has to compete with Ryanair the whole time. How can it compete with Ryanair whilst maintaining itself as a "career airline"? Eventually everyone will be as bad as eachother.
