They are desperately looking around for 737NG TRI and TRE

Organisation: Subsidiary of Air India Ltd. owned by the Government of India. Not in the best of financial health. But the Government has recently committed to a bail out plan by investing about 30,000 Crore rupees or roughly $ 6 Billion in the next decade or so.

Fleet:21 737-800 NGs. 17 owned and 4 leased.

Expansion Plans: None at the moment. If any in the future will be modest. They have a severe shortage of P1s and Trainers. In fact seasonally some flights keep getting cancelled or clubbed with other due to shortage of cockpit crew.

Recruitment: They have a urgent requirement for 737NG TRI and TRE. Check out their advertisement on Rishworth for selection procedure, pay and days on and off etc. They have a huge Trainee pilot back log and keep taking in experienced P1 and P2 from time to time.

Inside stories: Quite a bit of recruitment happening of late. Majority of the P1 and P2 currently flying at AIX have been sent on deputation from AI. These people are to be reverted back to AI starting early next year. SO to train the replacement crew they are looking to hire a lot of TRI and TRE.
Recently a few expat TRE and TRI have been interviewed. Management expects the first lot of trainers will start by jan-fab
