Hello.
Apologies if this has cropped up already - did a search, didn't find anything.
A friend was on a BA flight LHR-Berlin on Sunday 23 October that was subject to a sudden, unexpected violent bout of turbulance which led to damage and injuries. Flight crew mentioned subsequently that they'd been overflown by a 777 with 1,000ft separation immediately prior to the upset, and considered that to have been the cause.
Anyone have any further details/thoughts? Is it possible for properly separated aircraft at cruise to have that effect on each other?
Thanks
LB
