Are you talking of Air Hong Kong or Hong Kong express
Air HK operating B747/A300 (cargo)
HK express is operating B737/A330/A320/and maybe later A380 and B787

Hi Lindberg,
Thank you for answering. I am talking about Air Hong-kong the cargo company with A300 and B747. NOT hong-kong Express.
Awaiting to read you!

Air Hong kong Does Not operate B-747, the 747 is on a lease to them, they operate A300 and they do there eval on that. There is NO 737 or 380 or 787 for Air hong Kong, Hong kong express operate 737-300 & 800 ONLY.
All the best

Air hong Kong do operate B744's (they are not leased) and the evaluation is either on B737 sim or B744 sim Not on A300 as there is no A300 sim in HKG. it's just a sim assessment to see how well you fly. it doesn't require any type knowledge.

Hi Insomniac,
OK, so for you, the simulator evaluation in Air hong-kong(cargo company, not to confuse with Hong-kong express) is either on B737 or B747.
Thank you for your info.

Hi Guys (and Girls),

I have been offered an initial interview with Air Hong Kong. Interested in the pay side of things for F/O. It would seem rather low. Can any F/Os working there comment on how much they are banking each month?

Also is it possible to commute out of Australia. Finally are they hiring for the 747 or A300. What are the chances of getting on the 744

Cheers

What experience do you need for AHK? would 456hrs in c210 and 25hrs in PA31 be ok? Iam sure it will be cant be that hard right?;)

I would suggest that you build up your command time. Get some multi engine PIC and perhaps sone turbine PIC. I know that's what you probably don't want to hear, however, you'll be better for it in the long run when looking to upgrade. Having some PIC experience with which do draw back on, will help you much.
Whatever you decide, best wishes to you and I hope you have a long and prosperous aviation career.:ok:

What is the current payscale for FO's at AHK? Is it US$5300/month?(according to Pilot Jobs Network). What are the Per Diems like? Flying Allowances if any? Local terms? (no housing allowance, no education allowance etc...) or contract terms?

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I imagine with Jade stopping ops, there will be no shortage of 744 drivers to go to AHK.
