I'm a little surprised that this hasn't generated more interest.

There was a longer thread on this a couple months back but nobody figured out the name. I just heard the name for the first time the other day because I met a newly hired FO for Volotea, but I didn´t get to talk to him much about it.

Doesnt surprise me at all that there hasnt been more interest in this.
At the end of the day a new DC9 charter start-up in Spain isnt exactly a lot to shout about in the current climate!

Do try to keep up, there's a good chap. Whatever about your antipathy to the 717, this is a scheduled (not charter) carrier with some significant investment behind it.

Difficult to 'keep up' when all that is posted is a picture, but thanks for the information.
I wish them (and any new start up) luck in the current climate, I mean flying uneconomical aircraft on no-hope 'ghost airport' routes is bound to be a winner!

Yeah I read several different articles. I'm not sure exactly what their plan is, but some sources say they are going to be a low cost a la Ryanair, serving under served airports. Not sure if that means the ghost airports of Spain or secondary airports, Ryanair style.

The 717 may be a DC-9 derivative but its operating economics are significantly different.

You could have tried a bit of Googling to check your facts before posting.
