;)

There was an aircraft performing over RAF Wyton about 1120 this morning. Does anyone know what it was and where it was from? It seemed to be a civilian aircraft but in military clothing. It was painted blue on the underside and a sort of cammo on top. It had roundels but not ones that I immediately recognised. It was a 2 seater one behind the other. It had a retractable undercarriage and did passes with u/c up and down.

What was it and where was it from ?

Any clues please.

Was it a piston engined prop, turbo-prop or jet?

Why do you think it was civilian?

Would you recognise a Spitfire or a Hurricane etc?

Just trying to narrow it down a bit!

Possibly a Yak 50?

Could it have been from the Cambridge University Air Squadron, they fly from Wyton using Grob Tutor G-115E aircraft, but they may have other stuff there too.

The University colour is a pale blue, which may tie in? Worth a google at any rate to see if there is anything to match what you saw.

Grob's are side-by-side seating.

It was a T-28 Fennec. See following thread.
