Hi all,

Bit of advice needed,

Let's say a mate has about 2500hrs total time, 280multi command and about 70night command.

He's currently unemployed and looking at his options. Currently options look to be:

1) Piston work
2) F/o position at regional

The only problem I could see with the F/o job is perhaps a lack of progression because of the night requirements for ATPL.

Any input would be appreciated, cheers.

Johnny, tell him to keep praying and I'll let him know sometime soon.

Not much to offer here, tho I'd be looking to get that Night command up.

I know one bloke that did by speaking to a couple of Maintenance organisations, and doing aircraft relocates at night. (bit risky IMO) but it got the job done.

Whats wrong with piston work anyway?

The god types are to be found in a company called MAF.

If you pray hard enough you may just get a job there :ok:

If god abandons you, you'll end up at Golden chook :hmm:

God would know that FO hours count toward the night requirement for ATPL (although halved), so there's no prob there. Your mate would want to consider which regional tho, or his lack of 500multi command will be the limiting factor for progression.

Horatio, don't you mean "sir!"

"God" was last seen working for the RFDS in QLD, but then went south to another job.
