Can anyone shed any light on this?
With Yak-42s being in the news recently(for all the wrong reasons)my mind turned to an incident at Gatwick some years ago.
As I remember it a Yak-42 was involved in a ground-handling incident involving a baggage handler driving his tractor/baggage train under the wing and dying as a result of a collision. The aircraft was subsequently impounded so that the HSE could carry out an investigation. It remained on the stands opposite(south of)cargo for some weeks.
Which aircraft/operator?and when was it?
If anyone out there knows,or is related to,the poor guy involved then please accept my apologies for raking up bad memories. If necessary I will ask the moderator to remove the thread.
