Looking over the SIA cargo FO package there are 2 glaring omissions:

1. Housing? - no housing assistance?
2. Upgrade? - is command upgrade possible at Sia cargo?

...and do you dead head in business or economy?
..28 days leave, really?

If you are on national/local terms,

1. No housing assistance.
2. Upgrade, you'll be First Officer number 121.

For positioning on SIA flights, you will be given a firm Economy class seat, upgradable to First if available. On interline flights, you will be given a firm Economy class seat.

28 days leave a year. It's true.

So there are some upgrades going on, if im 121, how many years waiting is that? 5-6 years or more?

Only local terms for FO in SQ Cargo. In facts other than Capt for SQ Cargo, the rest of the airlines in SIN all hire into local terms.

Left-hand seat conversion in SQC takes roughly eight months. Yes, it takes ages but it is basically what SIA does on the mainfleet. So far, two guys have been upgraded. They used to be narrow-bodied captains who came to SQC on local terms. We now have four guys who are being upgraded.

Well, for starters, to be upgraded I think you need to be in the company for at least three years. Or five. I'm not too sure. And then you will have hours and sectors requirements to fulfill. On top of that, you will need to have some pretty darn good basecheck and linecheck scores. That is just to qualify. Only then do you begin the eight months of the command course.

etops777 said it right. Only local terms being offered these days. They used to offer expat terms long time ago when they were short on First Officers.

I won't say your chances are very good, but you can try. What they may do, like what they have done before, is to ask you to sit a few years on the right hand seat before converting you to the left seat. However, the two guys who were given that contract before had to jump through hoops and dance the dance for quite a while before management agreed to make that Captains.
