Just go to the top of a hill in the UK and listen very carefully and you'll find him - quite possibly the loudest man in NATO! :ok:

Can never forget the numerous call of 'STEPS' as he walked into the HAS on 56(F) if they were not fitted to the jet. When we disbanded the lineys made him a set out of double bond, painted green and sat on a little wooden plinth. These were duly presented to him at the Disbandment Top Table in the JR Mess.

Ah, shy, retiring Timmy. Yes, he's there and very little change in volume. The bloke that put him in charge of protocol is said to be leaving. We think it was just a little parting joke!!!

Gave him a good listening to, at Cranwell, on the 28 October. I assessed him as very loud and clear!

Met the man in question for the first time at Koksijde airshow in 1990 ish. He introduced a famous world land speed record holder, his F4 pilot, to me with the intro : 'Have you met my nose gunner?'
Loud yes, but what a character, the service is short of them nowadays.:D

..I have long harboured a suspicion he is Brian Blessed's lovechild, plus he really only needs to get the lower half of the facial fungus to really complete things:ok:
