Hi Guys

New to the forum.
Wonder if anyone can answer a question that's bugging me.
I have just built a slim jim centred on 131.7 mhz and it works great. But the question is, without any transmitting equipment and swr meters how do you check you are best tuned to the centre frequency and getting the most of of the aerial.

It won't make much difference on reception if it's not tuned precisely. However, you could beg/ borrow/ steal an antenna analyser - about £300.
