Anyone who has worked for this airline knew this, and far worse was and still is on the cards. Flying yourself as pax or putting your family on a plane somewhere use any other airline, the alternatives to THY will cause you and your family less stress and more, don't forget Schipol,3 pilots, good weather, nearly 100% serviceable plane and still it crashed! Until the countries Civil Aviation authority gets some balls and management in THY is overhauled, situations such as this will continue until the inevitable happens again! How many accidents is it in 30 years? I am not just an observer...I WORKED FOR THIS SHAMBLES! Like nearly all ex-pats, we left!

I agree that THY is not the most professional outfit but your comment on the Schipol accident is not accurate. The investigation into the incident found that the radio altimeter was faulty causing the flight computer to reduce power to idle. The 3 pilots did not monitor the situation well and applied power too late. You could also add that flying in a Boeing is the better option.:ok:
