I recommend Higherpower aviation in Texas... Reasonable price and very good Level D sim for the A320. They are the primary training provider for Southwest airlines and they have a good reputation in the USA.

There were rumours that they were blacklisted by DGCA but that is false.

but the institute has a bad reputation here...
My suggestion is CAE

^ bad reputation from who ? Because they got "blacklisted" once ? (rumour has it that they didnt pay DGCA the $$$ like CAE has) :}

You do know that spicejet and kingfisher sent their pilots there and I haven't heard anything negative from them. And I am pretty sure that southwest airlines is not going to send their pilots to a TRTO if it is anything but good quality.

Virgin America uses them for their A-320 checks too and I've been told its the exact same Airbus syllabus as CAE for 10,000$ cheaper.

The only thing I can say about PanAm is you get what you paid for :E

And I heard from someone in Indigo that they dont accept anyone with the TR from Panam. Maybe someone from Indigo can back this up.

I would suggest Oxford Aviation Academy, Sweden. At par with CAE in each n every way possible.

Here is the web address to it : Oxford Aviation Academy - Leading provider of airline pilot training, cabin crew training, aircraft maintenance training & aviation resourcing services. (http://www.oaa.com)

For any further info, feel free to contact.

If the type rating is a command rating and not a copilot rating, then the flying should be done from the command seat.

@livetokill: If I am not wrong Alpha Aviation is the same place that Jet sends it's guys for the 737 TR

I didn't know that.
It's gotta be good if jet sends their crew there.

Thinking about a type. Looking for a good training centre.

Thanks!

Kindly stop banging your head over here, let them realize when they reach the interviews...

there are too many undercover agents here from flying schools and TRTO

New management. New Avatar for this TRTO.
But course is too long and unnecessary with the Jet Bridge et al.

Try South Asian Aviation Services, a TRTO out of Singapore, new on the block, but they do a lot of work for Tiger Airways. saasfly.com
