Waiting for the fog to clear, saw this story on sky news:

Bogus Internet Dates 'Con 200,000 Victims'

Internet dating fraud is vastly under-reported and may have claimed more than 200,000 victims in the UK, research suggests.

So-called online romance scams typically involve criminals setting up fake identities using stolen photos of attractive individuals, often models or Army officers.

-----Surely some mistake???

Was`nt a recent former Miss England ( GB ? ) a serving squaddie ? I met a very attractive WRAF Flt Lt Pilot at a RAFA Wings Ball last saturday, so "Oficers" may not mean males. But who believes Sky News anyway :yuk:

That journal of accurate and impartial reporting says 'soldiers' clearly implying that is did not refer to any of its blue-blooded military readership.

Sled Dog.

That WRAF Flt Lt was presumably retired? Otherwise she'd be getting on a bit. WRAF was wound up in 1994...anyway, why would she want to go to a RAFA function?
