Anyone heard anything about the current situation with VHQ/VQ? Apparently the aircraft are stuck in ATH as bills remain unpaid. (rumour has it swisport have refused to handle) Yesterdays MAN-ATH was supposed to leave 1300 yesterday but has dissapeared off screens and still hadnt left at 2200 last night. Today's flights have no info either?

A friend scheduled to fly ATH-MAN yesterday is looking for another flight out. No information from Viking Hellas and no staff at the airport yesterday. Obviously Swissport not being very friendly.

Many Curds en-route to Manchester were wandering around the terminal wondering what to do next having arrived from Erbil!

Today's flights have no info either

The 08.50 VKH1358 to Larnaca departed 16.42

The 13.00 VQ701 to Athens is in the process of 'Final Boarding'

And todays flight to Birmingham, which should have arrived at 09.25 this morning is now expected shortly before 6am tomorrow!! Something definately going on here. Olympic Holidays (who they seem to have been doing a fair bit of flying for this summer) have now replaced them with Strategic for all Manchester and Birmingham flights next summer by the looks of things.

The Athens airport departure info currently does not give an expected departure time for Manchester.

The Friday night flight from Larnaca to Belfast and return (VIK1351/2) was delayed by 28 hours and eventually departed after midnight this morning operated by Skywings (normally Birmingham-based) A320.

Any more word on the whereabouts / status of the Viking Hellas / FlyHellas fleet?

Had a lootk at Liebhomerradar and 2 of the A320 SX-SMT and U don`t appear to have flown since 26/9 and one of those was a Air Mediterranee charter
and SX-SMV has flown OSL/EBL this morning

Yesterday's Larnaca-Belfast-Larnaca rotation, normally operated by Viking, was operated by a Torair A320 LZ-BHB.

The schedule was changed to operate Belfast-Larnaca-Belfast to facilitate an earlier departure from Aldergrove and an early Saturday morning arrival back into BFS at 0430 this morning. I'm sure the customers weren't to happy!

Looks like Olympic Holidays have dispensed with the services of Viking Hellas.

Interesting to hear they are still using one of their A320's....

Maybe flyHellas like the rest of Greece is close to defaulting?

Olympic have transferred their LCA-HUY to Strategic next year and HER-HUY to Torair according to their website booking engine

Olympic seem to have transferred the large majority of their flights from Fly Hellas to other carriers from next summer. As Strategic and Tor Air both have relatively small fleets based in the UK, I doubt it will actually be these airlines operating the flights or at least at the times advertised. More last minute changes to come by the looks of things...

Last weeks MAN-ATH-ISU was severely delayed due to Swissport grounding all three Vikings A320's in Larnaca and Athens.

Unfortunately Swissport changed the goalposts at the 11th hour, resulting in the grounding of there three A320's.

This whole issue was still not resolved until 12pm Friday Morning. This meant the MAN-LCA was delayed, same goes for the VQ701 MAN-ATH-EBL, and obv the V701 from the previous day

Coming to the present, VKH have cancelled all charter operating with Olympic Holidays including the MAN-LCA route. This came into effect last week. The route was originally taken over by Tor Air but now is operated by Strategic...

As you might agree people are getting the impression VKH are going bust? Many who surround the operation think this. Olympic Air have taken over handling for them in Greece, which is a plus.

So thats the latest.......

And in my opinon, VKH wont last till the start of November....

Just wondering if Hellas are still operating as I read on another site that their last operation aircraft had been returned to lessor?

Bloomin ridiculous. I think that when Viking Airlines ceased ops its caused Fly hellas to struggle. Is the person who owned XL and Viking owning hellas now?

Hi,
Does anyone know who the Administrators are for Fly Hellas as I cannot seem to find anything official about them entering into administration. Thanks
