I recall a few people asking what became of her, I always wondered myself, just chanced upon this splendid website

It certainly brings back a few memories of Yogi (Gib ATC, 88 to 90).

Wasn't the first YOGIBAIR a Dakota back in the 60s it was I believe done by a reveller one night who painted Yo on both sides (Loved to have seen it)as I thought it was truly funny .in my day (early 50s )the service was done by Rapiedes (excuse spelling ):O:O:O

After the Viscount ceased to be, IIRC a Trislander was used for a while on GIB-TNG?

I lived in Gib. 11/69 to 10/70. Yogi was a DC-3 when I first lived there, the change-over to a Viscount was in 1970.

The Trislander was named "Yogi Bair"

Whilst on holiday in Tangier in 1983 flew on BBVH t/f Gib. Not only human pax on board but also chickens and a lamb inbound Gib - the last caused problems for its human companion with the authorities on landing.

Great approach into Gib over the dockyard.

The company office in Tangier provided me with much info for an article I wrote for the Manchester Air and Space Museum newsletter. The outbound was my first Viscount flight for 17 years, the inbound to Tangier proved to be my last ever Viscount flight.
