Must say, I'm always in awe of pylons. Something about that magical "buzz" one hears walking underneath one on a drizzly day. And once remember seeing some sort of demonstration on How where a guy hold a fluorescent tube under these monsters of power, and guess what?.......it lit up.

Just a bit sad that the "Pylon appreciation Badge" has sold out :{

I had to giggle at the moniker of the poster, gal or fellah, who kicked this one off! With a moniker like Dynamite Dean all else is going to be boring...

Watching paint dry

My own studies here have been deep. Perhaps the most gripping, though little-known, anecdotal evidence is from Dundee, Scotland, where merry wits in the park-bench-painting trade would, in the late 1940s and for all I know still, identify a recently painted park bench with a sign bearing the legend "WEET PENT".

Notice, if you will, how capably these fellows have captured the fact of recent painting of subject bench and combined it with the lower-orders Dundee accent.

This has never before, I venture, been drawn to the attention of the wide audience that reads these pages and I emphasise my assertion of a claim to copyright.

This contribution to the topic is limited, of course to "trad" slow-drying paint, not your modern quick-dry rubbish.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Goudie for the reference
to the Pill-box spotters' forum.
I had a mate called Eric who loved spotting Pill-boxes.

He died a few years ago, and I've wondered if there was such
a thing as a "Memorial" to him anywhere. That is it!!!!

He'd have LOVED it!!! Thank you very much!!!

I MIGHT even take it up myself now. You've changed my life!!!

The whole ATS website is as mad as a box of frogs. Amazing what the conspiracy loons will believe!

Boring and waste of space You Tube Channels, but amusing as to what people believe they are filming.

Chap in Canada filming under upper air routes and claiming that it is evidence of holographic aircraft!

FakePlane's Channel - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/FakePlane)

Lady in Pennsylvania filming 'orbs'. She uses old military grade night vision optics and lives near two large airports. The penny hasn't dropped with her yet as to what she is filming. She has a large number of followers!
