Walking with my family yesterday along the Thames near Teddington, lots of planes flying low over us landing into LHR, one every couple of minutes or so.
Had lunch outside a riverside pub, and then we suddenly noticed that there had been no planes for about 10 minutes. Looked at my watch, 2.05pm, around 9am in New York today as it was exactly 10 years ago.
Coinicidence? Or a 30-minute silence in respect and remembrance? Or just to be safe? Anyone know?
The wind hadn't changed direction. At 2.30pm they were all flying back in as they had 40 minutes earlier.
