Few expats and they have trained their own pilots...i know 1 SFO on 737 who is been upgraded to Q400 Capt, so yea they have captains ready for the start of operations and FO's are also done with their rating on Q400.

They going to base the aircraft in HYD?

Be curious to see how it will pan out, as they are going head on with the Jet ATR operation on many routes.

Yes base is going to be Hyderabad and they are quite sure that Q400 will give them more profits than the Jet's ATR and Bombardier people are helping Spice to their extent to set up everything.....Lets see how it goes.....

Yes indeed, I will be watching to see how the battle pans out between the ATR and Dash

Needless to say Dash is superior to ATR any day....

What about the MLG issue....Has that been sorted out yet.

Bombardier needs a foot in the Indian market to push aside ATR.

Spicejet probably got a good deal for these.

Needless to say Dash is superior to ATR any day.... Oh.. and Kingfisher, Jet airways, Vietnam etc. are fools to order a substantial number of ATRs?

One might be cheaper but might have a higher operating cost while the other must be more expensive but might have a lower operating cost.

If the Q400 costs lower than the ATR and its operational cost is also lower than the ATR then so many airlines around the world wouldn't have been operating 100s of ATRs today.

Only time will tell which aircraft will perform better in the Indian conditions

Be very curious how the speed V extra fuel burn issues play out on Indian soil.
