Seems there's a move afoot to require Catholic priests to report to Scotland Yard, a disturbingly Orwellian trend methinks...

Kinda shows how out of touch Irish Govt is with reality.

Most people appear to go to confession once a year if at all.

Apparently (according to some RC theology expert) the priest would simply withhold forgiveness for any child-abuser who requested forgiveness and then the everlasting damnation would kick-in when they died . . .
No salvation for the wicked, apparently.
