It turns out a pilot cannot find out the status of his/her licence on Self Query (http://fclsdgca.nic.in/dtlquery.aspx) or OnlineStatus (http://fclsdgca.nic.in/onlinestatus.aspx) Looks like the DGCA has made it strictly confidential since 2nd Sept 2011.

Yeah cyril and flyboy It is working at the moment. Sorry about that. When I tried to find the status of my licence 3 hours ago, it asked for a username and password to login.

ito chk my cpl initial issue status i go on to the dgca link but it takes me to a page asking for id and password wear do i get this id password

Perhaps the same place that issues grammar and punctuation instructions?
