Hi All,

Can anyone please tell me what is involved in the interview selection for the transition training course? I have gone through the big cadet thread but can't find too much info specifically for the transition programme and interview selection.

Also, what is involved for the simulator check during the second/third HK interviews? Is it still in the B747 classic and what specific exercises are you required to demonstrate? I have no time on anything above 12,500lb, let alone a jet, so not sure how I would go in a 747 sim. Anyone know the success rate?

Cheers

My understanding is that the 742 sim at Cathay City has a heavy control loading on the yoke and not surprisingly steep turns will be a good test of your competency. If you don't have access to a 742 sim to practice, try a session in a full-motion 733 sim (eg Ansett) to get a feel for jet throttles as well as the trim, as I believe your experience as been so far on props.

I got an invite to the second interview in Nov and it specifically stated that the sim eval would be on a 747-200. It didn't specify anything else.
