How was the show and the weather on Sunday?
I chickened out of going due the forecast for Sunday afternoon. I had visions of flocks of departures into vis 3000 BKN 1000 and total chaos (as was the forecast.)
How was the day after all?

Weather on Saturday was perfect.
Sunday (early) morning was fine, I left about 0700 but ran into low cloud and rain near YBSU and had to divert around to the west. Made for an intersting flight.

At YBUD on Sunday, it got windier and ever more unpleasant as the day wore on...
Some aircraft departed for the south during the day - the two Chipmunks that left around 1230 for Caboolture subsequently reported "violent turbulence" approaching the Sunshine Coast. The rest of the vintage crowd (4 Tigers, Genairco, 2 Chipmunks) elected to try Monday morning thinking conditions would improve. Ha! The aircraft are still there, hangared fortunately, recovery tentatively planned for Friday.
