In basic training all Cathay girls are taught how to manipulate the joystick, in case of in-flight emergency.

Personally I don't understand what the fuss is all about if the public is so keen on "reality shows". :E

It's nothing, just the instructor giving the oral exam for the girl's PPL.

Having seen the photos concerned, you would need to be a moron of the highest order if you believed they were taken on the flight deck of any airliner.

This is one of those stupid rumours started by a so called journalist in the hope that it got taken up by the 'sheep' that believe everything they read. As it was successfully devoured by the gullible masses who know little about what goes on on the flight deck, it has grown with the type of mass hysteria that we see nowadays from the social media addicts who strive to get as many so called 'friends' as possible in the forlorn belief that that amounts to some sort of social status.

Read the article carefully and a how where it states categorically that it was taken on the flight deck and that it was both a pilot and a cabin crew member. It is nothing but conjecture and speculation designed to satisfy ignoranti who feed off this type of rubbish.

As with most journalistic errors of ignorance when they transpose 'tarmac' or 'apron' with 'runway' you can be sure that the author of this tripe has transposed 'aircraft' or 'airport' with 'flight deck'.

I think they should go to a tribunal. I somehow don't think it will stand up in court.

Depends on the strength of the briefing.

In all seriousness, it is scarey how fast falsehoods can go viral.

Photos are no longer sacrosanct either, due to Photoshop etc.

I seem to recall during crew incapacitation drills in the case of an incapacitated hostie was " loosen all tight clothing and give mouth to breast resucitation"

Wrong Danny, photo was taken on a flight deck. Cathay has confirmed that they were pilot and cabin crew, "were" being the operative word.

Time to wind your neck back in a bit before your head falls off.
