Hi.

I just passed my JAR-CPL(H) LST. (ATPL theory passed as well ;D)
I had my FAA CPL(H), IR(H), CFI(H) previously

The application and payment forms are sent to UK CAA.

How long time should I expect before getting answers from them?
Will they send me the licence?
Can I start flying before I am getting the actual licence?

I am a little confused at this point, so I hope someone have answers :D

10 Working days (2 weeks) plus postage time.

Will they send me the licence?

Of course, unless you opted to collect it once it's done.

Can I start flying before I am getting the actual licence?

You can't exercise the use of a licence not in your possession. If you have a PPL you can still use that.

Thank you for clarification.

On the pass of an FAA checkride you are getting a temporary licence until the permanent arrives by mail.

Sad you can not start to work until at least 2 weeks after the LST. (JAA)

I am living/working in Norway and bet the postage will take forever..

Is the licence in "Credit card" format as the FAA licence?
Will the type ratings be on it?
