Hi guys,

can anyone give me some rough figures on the net salary (without per diems) one could expect as TNT B777f SFO on an expatriate contract? I understand that the average tax you have to pay on an expat contract is considerably less than the normal belgium tax rate but i haven't found any hard figures so far... Also, how is vacation pay and 13th salary taxed, same as normal salary?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Ted

Ted

I'd be interested if you find out anything.
Will you pay Belgium tax or UK tax. I reckon UK tax will take a big chunk out to pay for playstations and whatnots for the rioters :)
Anyone doing the TNT contract and living in the UK?

That depends, of course. Expect around 4000 EUR.

TNT is going to be sold to UPS shortly. No point in joining them.

Don't forget that you are responsible for your own accommodation.

Hi guys ... not much in the way of information at the moment. PARC not saying much about rosters.
Anyone got any idea of the roster for a 777 FO? From London so would I pay UK tax or Belgian tax? Quality of life more important to me than the loot so any info on rosters would be really welcome.

I heard TNT is a pretty stable comfortable job to have, I Think the pay might be low, but if the lifestyle meets in the middle it might be a good job.

Or at least, it was last year when the decision was made to split TNT in two, TNT Express and PostNL (effective this past May). FedEx and UPS were interested, among others.

If UPS gets it, it's bad news for FedEx (very distant third) and DHL (barely ahead of UPS-TNT) in Europe.
If FedEx gets it, it's bad news for staff (no JAA at FedEx).

who knows the typical pairing on the new B777 fleet.
seems to me they are out for 10+ days at one pairing.
For the longer trips do they at least have multi crew and crew rest areas ?

for that low pay there should be. but if it's pay plus flight time, it might not be that bad.

i'm sure in todays economy UPS or FedEx are looking after their bottom line and not looking to make any big purchases quite yet.

TNT just leased us a brand new 777 to fly their freight, its US registered to southern air and uses southern air crew, dispatch, and MX

At the same time, TNT is cancelling their annual employee party due to "the current economic climate". This makes me puke:yuk:

Someone's bonus is probably secure now.

There are plenty of internal upgrades to the 777.
The deal with Southern air is only temporary, from april 2012 three 777F will be flown by TNT under their colors and with their crews ...

I have recently been offered a job with TNT on the long haul fleet. I just can't seem to find the difference between Ex Pat terms on a Belgium contract and a regular Belgium contract. Is it just a little tax savings issue.

Expat terms means to me, that when push comes to shove. the expats must leave and local contract personal stay… right ?? wrong ??

I just dont know.:ugh:
