RTR(P) Renewal

Hi guys ... i had submitted my documents for my RTR(p) Renewal in march .. i have recently received a letter in the mail saying i need to present the original logbook for verification .. i was wondering if any one of you guys know anything about that and whats this all about .. any response is appreciated .

storm - I believe the WPC would like to get attested copies of your logbook (in your case, the original logbook) to check whether you have flown 30 hours within 3 years preceding the date of expiry of your RTR(P). They usually ask for attested copies of the applicant's logbook at the time of renewal rather than the original.

hey Storm can you please tell me which form did you fill to apply for renewal of rtr(p) based on flying hours.

why are you renewing your rtr(p)? isn't it more complicated & expensive to manage the extra medical every year, and if you have the canadian booklet, keeping track of maintaining it as well??

Guys please help:

I HAVE 30 HOURS OF FLYING IN MARCH 2009.
PART 1 CLEARED IN OCTOBER 2008.
INDIAN RTR VALID TILL JANUARY 2011.
I HOLD A USA CPL AND UK RT.

NOW SINCE I HAVE 30 HOURS OF FLYING IN THE PREVIOUS 3 YEARS, CAN I GET MY INDIAN RTR RENEWED ?

PLEASE ADVICE.

@ smurf84 ... i had actually sent all attested copies of documents.. it turns out that they just wanted to verify the original logbook..thanks for your help anyways bud .

@ PA-34 . Hey man ..you need the C.O.P 23 form , you need to send that with all the other documents and everything has to be attested .. and the documents required with it are listed on the form under instructions .

@livetokill22 - I believe you can apply for renewal 3 months bfr it expires.. apply for it as soon as your within 3 months as WPC takes a looonnggggg time to respond even if something in the paper work is not right .. i had applied mine in march and i got a reply after 3 months saying something was wrong .. so allow adequate time...
