Anyone have any ideas what's broken with this motor? Sitting out there yesterday with the cowl off and what appeared to be a new donk going in for an old one .

Oh and no , I'm not a journo ;)

That is the engine that suffered the compressor stall in LA during the initial take off roll.

GE and VA have been monitoring performance data since and decided to do an engine change based on trend data results as a precaution.

The decision to replace was not a schedule one as I understand it as the flight was cancelled, although several days or more in advance.

It looks like Virgin put SAFETY before SCHEDULE.They are going in the right direction.JB's direction is comming thru
