Does anybody know of a place where I can get a transition in a Piper Cheyenne 400LS? Anywhere... Thanks!

There used to be a SIM in S-Korea, if I'm not mistaken, but that must have been the only one ever built. No surprise with only 45 airplanes having been constructed worldwide (only 43 left by now, I think).

Usually, you did a SIM initial course with FSI in Lakeland, FL where they have a Cheyenne III simulator and then the rest 'on the job'.

There is a company which operates or -ed a 400LS in Cologne Germany. Wouldn't be surprised if they had a qualified IP on staff. Try to find 'Quick Air' in the internet and give them a call. Good luck!

Thanks for your info, really appreciate it. Will research regarding sim in S.Korea (to see if still in op). I know of FS in Lakeland, but they are closing shop end August and as you said only Cheyenne III sims there, they only offer ground school for 400LS. Will also check into Cheyenne in Cologne (Quick Air). Thanks again! :ok:

You can also contact Aerowest based in Hannover/Germany/EDDV. They operate two PA42 and also offer T/R.

Thanks Liftboy, appreciate it, but apparently Aerowest "only" has a Cheyenne IIIA, quite different from the 400LS.

Me thinks there's more to this question than meets the eye. BulePilot's location is given as Indonesia, therefore I'm sure he's very aware that there's a Cheyenne 400LS based at Bali, primarily for medevac services. At least it's still listed as such on Air Bali's website.

Saint Jack: If Air Bali was giving a training for a type rating in their Cheyenne 400LS (they don't), I wouldn't post here, would I?

New info, only a few days old: I bumped into someone from the German company Air Alliance which used to operate a 400LS until recently:

apparently both Quick Air in Cologne and Air Alliance at Siegerland Airport have sold their Cheyenne 400LS. It appears that there is a happy new owner somewhere in Italy... Good Luck!
