Does anyone know who operates the Islander that was flying up and down in straight lines over Hendon this morning? I presume that they were taking vertical photographs.
A/c is white with a red nose & tail.

The very same was doing lot's of grids and circuits at very low level above London SW1 this very lunchtime. Suprisingly quiet for such a noisy beast, though at times sounded like an old warbird.

Currently and for last hour or so over Epsom Sutton area - each circuit about 8 minutes. Makes a change from the usual Heathrow traffic although life was brightened by a Tiger Moth over twice yesterday.

Possibly the same one that was busy around Kent yesterday.

It was maybe doing LIDAR work for the EA flood survey? Usually D-CALM does it but however.

That sounds like RVL's Islander. They are based at East Midlands now - recently moved from Coventry.
A friend of mine is one of their Pilot's.

Probably one of Stapleford's. They have been very busy lately.

I can`t see what an hour and a half of racetracks/orbits would have achieved at that altitude...
