Hi. I'm on the hunt for the Italian CAA/FAA where I can enquire about registrations. Is there an online search facility where I can search for a I-reg and/or by type? Or if someone who has access could help me search for a particular make's owners, that would be great.

Hi, these are not official registries, but better than nothing:

Aerodata.it - Italian Register (http://www.aerodata.it/italian_register.htm) (general aviation aircrafts)

Italian Complete Helicopter Register © by Damiano GUALDONI (http://www.dgualdo.it/italy-reg-index.htm) (helicopters)

:ok:

Here is all the relevant info directly from the horse's mouth, available unfortunately AFAIK only in Italian:

Enac - Rilascio certificazioni e dichiarazioni (http://www.enac.gov.it/La_Regolazione_per_la_Sicurezza/Navigabilit-13-/Registrazione_Aeromobili/info151403457.html)

If you want an official statement of ownership for a particular reg number you'll basically have to submit a query in writing using the form provided (again only in Italian) and pay around 67 euros in fees and stamp duty. Anonymous querying of the official registry is obviously out of the question... :(
As posted above there are unofficial sources and they seem to be quite accurate, but if it's for anything official (such has, f.e., debt collection :)) you'll have to go through the official channels and that will cost you both time and money.
Cheers,

I want to find out if there are any remaining types of a certain aircraft (Piaggio P.136 Royal Gulls) on the Italian registry and who owns them. Do I need to go through ENAC and pay 67 Euros for each search?

You actually have to provide the registration numbers yourself, you cannot query by aircraft type at all. :ouch: If you're just looking for a potential seller of a hard to find aircraft type or something like that you're much better off just browsing through the "unofficial" registry on the 'net, the worst that could happen is that you get a few false (outdated?) leads.
There is really no way to run such a query unless you're a member of some police force and on official business, what with privacy laws being what they are in Italy (and Europe in general). Sorry to disappoint you but there's really no "official" way around that, on the other hand you might want to try and contact these guys:

G A V S (http://www.gavs.it/index_eng.htm) - Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici

as they might be willing and able to assist you in your search.

Try this: LAAS Current Corporate Jet Register, business jets, world corporate jets (http://www.laasdata.com/corpjet/) just put in it the reg mark or the model...
