Well it seems this mornings arrival brought with it a few surprises
Aircraft apparently had a tyre go bang while leaving Toronto, and flew to Dublin with the remains of a tyre still attached plus a few holes in the port wing and damage to it's port u/c

Sound Familiar?

Incident: Air Transat A333 at Toronto on Jul 15th 2011, tyre damage on takeoff (http://avherald.com/h?article=43fe28a6&opt=0)

An Air Transat Airbus A330-300, registration C-GTSO performing flight TS-232 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Dublin (Ireland) with 314 passengers, lost the tread of a left main gear tyre during the takeoff run in Toronto, the tyre damage remained undetected although the tread impacted the underside of the wing. The crew continued the flight to Dublin, where the aircraft performed a seemingly routine and safe landing.

The return flight TS-233 was cancelled.

The airline reported that a tyre lost its tread ("thrown tread"), which remained undetected until arrival at the gate in Dublin. A panel at the underside of the wing needed to be repaired and a damaged landing gear door needed to be replaced. The aircraft re-entered service on Jul 18th.
