You might also want to have a look at recent back numbers of FlyPast which ran a feature on the Whirlwind. I do not have a copy (I pass my FlyPasts on to Ye Ancient Spitfire Pilot now aged 86) but I THINK it was within the last 12 months.

The Westland Whirlwind Profile Publications number 191.

These could be a start for you there are lot sof details,photo's video etc in our library.
