Hello guys, i decided to start this thread to help all those who wants to get rid of RT part-1 and want to convert or renew their respective Licenses.
I recently Appeared for Chennai Attempt and had the following questions

Route : Mumbai - Chennai A/C: VT-GMX ( ATR), FL 170
Alt : Bangalore

1) At 70DME and FL170, due to CB Activity Ahead you want to deviate 30nm by left take actions

2)You are now Clear of CB and want to Resume as per the Flight plan take action.

3)As you Reach closer to Chennai,Enroute Visibility has fallen to 6kms, your initial plan was to convert to VFR at FL70 or 80( dont remember exactly). now proceed IFR and take actions.

4) you are cleared for ILS RWY 25 and to follow published DME Arc, comply with the procedure ( was given the approach plate back of the map).

in the 5th one there were 10 sentences, which were to be converted into aviation abberivated form ( i flunked in that que totally).

Guys please lets keep these thread alive for as long as we can.and we will beat the WPC from its root.
i would appreciate it if all of you take a step foreward and try to post atleast something which u remember out of your que paper.

Lets beat the Kolkata Attempt....Keep on Posting Latest Stuff

@ Kush3370- Do you intend to sit for the Kolkata Attempt? If yes, please advice when do we send in the applications and can I sit for the test 3 months before the expiry of my RTR?

There is a rule for the renewal but I am not sure if it applies for the test too.
I hope not!

Also could you suggest some reading materials for the test?

Thank You for posting the questions above. Cheers! :ok:

The books mentioned by Cyril Roy will help you more for Part II. For Part I, I would recommend Private Notes of Mr. MK Singh or Mr. SG Singh. They should suffice.
It's basically 60-70 Question papers. Once mastered you wont have any difficulty clearing Part I.
All the best.

If i dont make through chennai attempt, yes i will definatly go for kolkata one, and you can sit for RTR exam anytime regardless of the expiration date of ur license. that 3 months rule does not apply for exam appearance. and for kolkata attempt the last date of online application is 23rd of July followed by hard copy to be received before 30th of july. and the exam will start on 23rd of Aug.
WPC site is not working right now otherwise i could have post the link here mentioning the schedule of whole 2011. will put it here as soon as wpc starts working.
The Results of Chennai Attempt are expected to be out by 12th of July (examiner at chennai Told me).
Refer the MK singh's note if u have.. and now a days dont expect the familiar questions in part-1, no material will help you if u don put ur self in a scenario given in que paper and then start transmitting.
MK Singh's notes are just to see some examples.

THE WING is right

The second book is mostly geared towards part 2

The first book gives the general idea of what the exam will be like and all the phrases and words that are used

I also strongly recommend MK singh notes ( especially the charts )

Attend his classes if possible ( He'll give you a copy of the above books if you attend his class )

@All - Thank you for your prompt replies, appreciate it!

@Cyrilroy21- I might be going to Delhi this month, will extend my stay for a few days and take the M K Singh classes.

The only concern here is the Jet Airways 2nd stage assessment, which is also scheduled for August 3rd week. In that case I might have to give it a miss and take the next attempt in Delhi.

Cheers! :ok:

Delhi April Attempt dated 12 May 2011.
A/C type - Charter plane
Reg- VT ECE

Dep Aerodrome - Delhi.
Dest Aerodrome - Calcutta.

Route Delhi via SID of Ali 1F towards Lucknow then diverting towards Jabalpur on ATS route following situation, then over Bagdogra onwards ATS route towards Calcutta.

Chart 2 & 5.

Q 1 A. Obtain clearance for Calcutta.
Ans- Obtain clearance from tower ,will be provided an SID route.Follow SID of Delhi on Ali 1F route before reaching fix at BBN for Delhi - lucknow route.

Q 1 B. Follow and obey ATC given instructions till BBN fix as Q1.
Ans - Repeat instructions with the guidance of SID and follow ATC's further instruction's.

Q 2. At BBN or over it, you divert towards khajjurao on ATS route and comply with ATC instructions.
Ans - Just repeat instructions provided by ATC and follow Route by looking at chart and transmit everything&all important things like current position/next fix/next climbing or decending level.

Q 3. Over Jabalbur you get a sitaution ( Dont remember might be traffic or weather ).
Ans - Transmit instructions for diversion by taking account of chart and route on which you are flying.

Q 4. You are over Bagdogra and suddenly some situation arises( dont remember which emergency arieses but was more likely an climate CB or visibility ), leading a diversion for 30 nm and then back at original position.
Ans - Transmit instructions for climate.

Q 5. Ten absurd looking and sounding non aviation lines to be converted into aviation terminology.

PS : New pattern is being followed from Delhi Attempt onward's by throwing SID/STAR/Instrument Procedures on 1 or 2 questions. For this you would need to recollect Instrument flying RT transmission.
No need for taking classes because every day at particular attempt, examiners are changing charts/SID's/STAR's/Instrument procedure's.
Just follow basic transmission instructions as given by RTR Notes of various instructor's.

Hope this helps and keep screwing those paan chewing red teeth bald idiots from RTR.Make them remember your transmission along with name, so that they dont have to hear you again for next attempt.Ohh i heard that calcutta guys like to hear greetings in bengali :E:E

Hello Fellow Pilots..

i am glad that i got rid of my part-1 in this chennai attempt.
but at the same time unfortunately i will no longer be able to post any of the personal experienced questions of part-1.

However i will still try my best to post all the recent question as soon as i get those from any of my friends(there are many) who are still fighting with WPC.

with this i would like to wish all the very best to all those who are preparing for kolkata attempt. and i am requesting all of you to keep posting the questions which u got in ur exam. because today it is someone else, tomorrow it will be you.

Thanks and Best luck
Kush
