As always you have to go somewhere sandy to get a really good airshow:

Would I be right in thinking that film was taken about 100 years ago?

52 years to be precise:8. Note that two of the aircraft types are still in service!

Farnborough allegedly had demonstrations of air to ground rocketry in the 50s, although some say they were ground explosions timed to coincide with the 'attack'.

I think you were dead right about Farnborough. My first visit was in the 50s and it was totally different to what we see there now; it's not worth avisit.

Only 2? I make it three..... C-130, KC-135 and the the B-52. Or am I out of date with my USAF OOB?

Doesn't the B-52 always display somewhere else when it's supposed to be at Farnborough?:E

No, you are correct, the C-130, KC-135 (plus some varieties of the old 135) and the B-52 are still in the Air Force inventory.

Ahh, live munitions drop and a sound barrier-breaking pass! The Health and Safety executive would have had a coronary if those sort of shenanigans took place at Waddo last weekend!
