word has the August roster is very tight.....many variations including overtime for some/all, late release etc.....any rumours for the rumour network?

Heard the same, 4. Judging by my experiences with the June roster, it's already happening! Nearly 50% of my rostered flights changed.

Why do they bother producing a roster at all?

How long can this continue? Won't the 900 hours in 12 calendar months start to become an issue? What am I saying?? The CAD will just give them a "temporary" increase to 1000 hours.... :{

Is there any limit to the number of weeks between leave? Can you go a whole year without it? And what happens if you don't get your annual leave entitlement by years end? Do they roll it over to the next year, pay you out, or it just disappears?

Then I suspect you will be off sick with chronic fatigue. Leave is there for a reason!

Being off sick with chronic fatigue leads to books being written about you :=

I've been told that it is a HK law that one must be able to take AL every 12 months. Ask on the AOA forum or the guys on the GC.

just remember, the 900 hours rule are non factored actual flying hours. So even if you do 90 hours for 12 months, you will most like be under the limit.

Yep well aware of the 900 hours being from park brake off until park brake on. But at the sort of hours guys are doing then this must become a factor soon. Oh and even if you did only 2 man crew, 90 / 1.14 gives you just under 79 per month, and over 12 months, that is 947 block hours. Do a few 3 man and 4 man crew flights, and that block to block time is into the mid eighties.

working 10 days in august, 82 hours, no leave, no jokers, no reserve days.... seems pretty normal to me...

Me thinks it's done because they can't find enough pilots to fill the roster. :oh:

No it's not done to annoy, they simply will not spring for some decent computer equipment plus the IT department has problems getting anything to work

Pathetic.

If crews performed at that level there would soon be invites for tea no biscuits

Why don't they just email all crew their roster when its available? Instead of sending a notification its published, just send the roster to us as a text attachment.

That would require an IT department with skills and resources. One of those is missing.

It's not even the cabin crew -doesn't theirs come out on 17th?

Still no login at 23.00. Typical efficiency levels of that end of the third floor...

And now CC is on hold music! It gets more surreal.

They'll accuse us of a denial of service attack next...

Because then they would lose some control...............CANNOT!

Wish i'd stayed in all night waiting for the roster to come out......i got home in the early hours of the morning and was seeing double......2 W patterns and 6 long regional freighter flights. The shock almost ferking killed me.

next month, when the roster is late out again, I am staying at home and waiting for it. Thankfully i have the 15th of august off just for that purpose.

...and the new messaging and telephone system in Brushwing Barracks is a shambles as well. Shame about all those messages from Crew Control :E.

Brushwing Barracks, LOL. I had a 4 night confinement there this week. Everytime I came back to my room and put my key in the power slot, my phone message light would blink within 3 minutes...... alas, it was never CC informing me I was to PX home in the next few hours :}
