What makes you think they're going to replace them? The future's making money in Madrid and maximising Heathrow not getting battered by locos at Gatters and having a massive capital investment program only to bleed money for another twenty years.

There is another possibility. BA might be able to justify increasing LHR shorthaul capacity and ordering (e.g) more A320s and A321s. Then the A319s could move to LGW. The A319 fleet is already 10-12 years old, so values are are already well written down and it could be presented as a low cost option for LGW..
