I really love those manuals I baught,. .If any one has them, you would realise that they (the 02FO manuals) make it sound so simple to get an airline job. But when I come here, that doesnt not seem to be the case??!! I was very optmistic for an airline job. And all it made it seem is that 150 hours and a frozen atpl cpl/ir is all you need and thats all inc. a good cv...

its like i have no chance now...

At the time they were written that may have been the case (with a little luck and a lot of determination), but after recent events....well we all know the rest of it.

I found them useful when I first decided to follow the dream, but have since found much more information on PPRunE.

I actually received a letter from the author/publishers last week, recommending more of the get rich quick schemes which were put forward with the original manuals. I think the offer of these schemes detracts from the authority of the manuals and the author, I just don't understand why they are included.

Has anybody actually enrolled on any of these courses? If so, am I completely mistaken and are you making £12,000 a year as a secondary income? If there are any success stories, I think the rest of us wannabes should be let in on the news! Sod aviation, I'll become a horserace gambling, property investor <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Do any of the moderators have views (which can be aired in public) on the validity, and appropriateness of the course offers bundled with the manuals?

There has been in the past lots written on these forums about 02FO, and so it might be worth a quick search through archives.

The "get rich quick" schemes - its up to you. As with all gambling, calculated or not, you have to prepared to take the metal side of loses. Personally I have not, and proably will not try it.

All the information in 02FO is covered, and some would say slightly better, in Clive Hughes book. If you search again on this site there is more info about that.
