Early morning pictures at St Just, Lands End - now with pics!

Please forgive the finger trouble in the previous attempt that meant pics no show doh! Fingers now firmly crossed............

A planned day trip to the Scilly Isles last week on a 7.45am Skybus Islander ran into local weather on arrival at St Just!

Take off unlikely before 12 noon we were told..................

A friendly place and airline with great people, a welcoming cafe and unbeatable views, plus a grass field take off over amazing coastline. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area.

The 15 minute flight at 1000ft to St Mary's was smooth, comfortable, and agreeably noisy with on arrival a Skybus bigger brother well positioned for a picture on the ground.

I did my qualifying cross country back in 2007 and part of that was to land at Lands End. Lovely airfield.

I flew this route back in September 2001 with my wife and 18 month old daughter. It was just after 9/11 so we had super security but the flight was fantastic, as was the weather.

I heartily recommend a trip if you are ever in that beautiful part of the world.
