I have my contacts in Address book. I want to share another MacBook with my partner and to enable me to use the email, bring my address book across to her machine.

Trouble is when I try to do that it tells me that I shall wipe her adress book if I do.

Is there any way to have two address books on one machine, which you can select before mailing?

Apple Help is busy and tells me to try again in 15 minutes. All day.

Many thanks if you can help.

This should be really simple.

Go into your address book and select all the contacts.

Right click and select export Vcard

Choose where you want to save them, i suggest a dedicated folder and on a flash drive.

Once done put the flash drive in the other machine and select the Vcards and drop them into address book.

THis should add them into the other machine without deleting the contacts already there, the only ones you might have a little issue with is if you have the same contacts or people with the same name.

Hope this helps

Why not create a seperate user account for her on the machine ?

Charlie, that looks a great idea, could not find such an elegant explanation in any manuals...

And mixture, that may be our solution too. Have to look into setting that up.

Many thanks for your time
