AVV Class E > Class C?

Have heard a rumour that QF have requested that the current AVV class E airspace be upgraded to class C due to ongoing incidents, but that CASA's Office of Airspace Regulation is saying no change will happen before June next year.

Anyone heard anything?

I have heard of lots of things at AVV, but the usual band of folk will tell me no, thats mythical stuff from young jaba again. Sorry folks. Its real. I am amazed at how some things get swept under the carpet. If I did not know the people concerned who were involved and their disbelief I would dismiss it all as stories of urban myth. :hmm:

As far as I know any major airspace changes have already missed the mapping date for Nov AIRAC changes. Puts anything into mid next year unless promulgated by NOTAM/AIP SUPP.
