Foolishly thought they would have their own HLS but alas.........
Would welcome suggestions for an HLS nearby for use early July.

Does this help :

Glyndebourne Opera House - Eastbourne website - E&A Details (http://www.visiteastbourne.com/Lewes-Glyndebourne-Opera-House/details/?dms=13&feature=1&venue=3410682)

That article is considerably out of date. Glyndebourne has not allowed helicopter landings for about 18 months, its part of improving their "green" image.

Last time I took customers there we went to Deanland where the welcome was great and there was a really good pub down the road where the pilot could get supper while waiting.

I did wonder - thought it might be too easy...

The other option is Shoreham Airport - although it is about a 25 min drive from there so it kind of defeats the object I guess.

The farmer down the road used allow helicopters, but unfortunately he has moved on. We now use Deanlands as well - very welcoming and good pubs locally.

Is that the same farmer who lets the Royal flight land opposite? Or the one that used to object to helicopter flight with distress flares...

You'd be lucky yo get their from by road Shoreham in 25 minutes too.

Thanks - it's looking like Deanlands but we'll see what develops

Hopefully, after 12 years, the OP has already found somewhere to land.
