:ugh: As of 15 June 2011

If you are having problems accessing iConnect (ie. Getting an error message saying that you "...do not have permission to access iconnect") then do the following:

Contact IMT at 2747 3883 (Press Option 4) and ask them to "reset your profile" and it should work after a minute or so of them resetting your profile. There is a bug in the system.

If that doesn't work then you're probably terminated :P

Some may be asked to contact their Chief Pilot. He will gladly tell you the news of your termination, some may receive a fax of their termination, some will receive a package from DHL (The CPG’s express mail delivery airline) or you may try your ID at CX City and find your Employee Card will not allow you to enter.

These are our preferred methods of terminating pilot contracts.

As the previous DFO, the current DFO monitors the HKAOA forums to determine the bad apples and secret files are kept by the DFO only (in case of any rouge managers) to determine terminations.

Finally terminating those bad apples. Enjoy the next couple of days.

Could the 'bug' be anything to do with 2000+ people trying to find out what they're doing in July??

Funny how often Crewdirect falls over on the 15th!

If one were cynical ............

I now have an email saying my roster is published but still cannot connect to crewdirect.
Is anyone else having problems or is it just me as usual?

2000+ people are supposed to be finding out what they are doing in July. Try a real airline with well over 5000 pilots who can access their rosters daily, make their own trip swaps, get leave, cancel leave, trade leave etc in a split second without having to "ask permission".

Nice servers CX. what a joke.

Do they employ competent professionals in IMT or lowering standards to save the short term dollar? The company website is incredibly slow, difficult to navigate and unreliable.

Our lives are disrupted enough without these frequent delays in accessing our roster.

Perhaps someone from IMT would care to reply?

Just got my roster after about 30 minutes of stupid responses such as 'the page you requested (published roster') does not exist'.
And some people want CX to give us iPads?? Now that's REALLY funny!:ok:

Word from IMT is that the servers are overloaded due to naughty pilots checking out their rosters all at once. I'll let you guys complain about the hardware (lack thereof).

However why should this month be any different? I haven't had problems getting my roster before. Have we suddenly employed an extra 1000 pilots or something?

P.S It seems one can still read the DFO's update and other archived updates :}

Why doesn't everyone who cant log on, phone crew control.
That will jam the switchboard for a long while, then they won't be able to phone all those pesky lazy pilots who don't want to work on G days, nor the reserve boys etc etc.

They will soon learn to get their :mad: together on time!

Why don't they just mail out the text version along with our notification email that the roster has been published? It would be about 3 kb each max and would save the servers being deluged while we all try to download countless megs of data just to access that 3kb of data which tells us what we are doing next month.

Pirates? ...Pirates!!? Does Swire still employ Pirates like they did in the old days?! Is that why they still call'em "Port pages" instead of "Airport pages". I can't remember ever landing an airplane at a port (where ships & boats go) rather than an airport (where aircraft go). Since we don't fly flying boats these days... How long it will take them to fix that stupid misuse of the word? I wonder if they had clew contlol back in the day when they employed Pirates instead of Pilots.

Joking aside, Intracx is the glitchy-est, slowest, most amateurish website I've seen for a company this size on a good day. Let alone when there's actual high demand on the system. We don't even have anything near an automated bidding/swapping/etc... system like the rest of the civilized world has. What a joke. An absolute lack of flexibility, functionality, capacity, and ability to keep up with the industry standard. Typical of most everything else around here.

Anyone here long enough to remember they used to deliver master roster for ALL ranks and ALL fleet to our mail box?

Later on, you only received master roster for your fleet.

After that, in the name of tree-saving (or their bonus), it was further reduced to a A4 page of your personal roster.

During SARS, they only mailed out e-version roster, so that you could print it yourself at home. It was suppsoed to be a "temporary measure" to help the company to "survive" (most guys still used the company printer to print their rosters anyway!). Of course, just like the amenity kits for bussiness and first class ID Pax, once it is taken away during the downturn, it is gone forever!

Now, you don't even get e-version roster, you have to log on to intra-cx and download it yourself!!

What next??

Do you see a trend here, not just for our roster, but for about every benefit you have in CX???:yuk:

Trend??? Our Conditions of Service have been in a tight spiral dive since 1993 and the dive got tighter since 2001 with no chance of a recovery. It gets tighter by the day here.:ugh:

Trend? No Trend that I can see.:}

What's disappointing, we let it happen but that's another story.:=
