Am I missing something! Either this plane is actully on approach to LHR (but I don't think it is, wouldn't expect to see it or would expect a shadow) but if you go to:

Mire Ln
Waltham St Lawrence
Windsor and Maidenhead
RG10 0
United Kingdom

On google maps, there's a random plane in a field :/ What is it?

TAP (Air Portugal) A32x approaching rwy 09R at LHR

EDIT: looking closer at the picture I'd say an A319

It's on final approach to Heathrow. Why the query? There are many, many similar examples on Google all over the world.

It is about 14 miles out on final so will probably be at 4000 feet or more. With the low sun angle the shadow will be quite a long way away. This is probably it:-

51o 21' 11"N 0o 50' 25" W - about 1.2 miles away!

Seek and ye shall find:ok:
