Info on obtaining UAE LAME (GCAA CAR 145)

Hi all, I am new here, but not new to Dubai or Aircraft Maintenance...I am looking for any information regarding the procedure, obtaining study material etc which would lead to a UAE LAME. No information available on GCAA web sites and Emirates Engineering College only seem to do full time courses, as I work full time this is no good. Does anyone know of any other training facility in the UAE which offers a self study course? I guess something which is similar to LBP in UK.

Thanks for the Info Miles, I eventually found CAAP 28 on the GCAA web site.

I meet all the criteria, i.e. visa, age, experience etc, and have work out in the UAE for many years to realise how wonderful they work, the requirement for me to get a license seem to come out of another goal post move by the GCAA.

You planning to take the B1 (a&C) or b2 (X) license? You also need a quality letter from the 145 organisation you are working in.
