Hi,
I am a member of AirSearch, which is a voluntary organisation for pilots and other volunteers who want to help by putting something back into the community.
Our pilots offer their time and aircraft free of charge to assist the emergency services, local authorities, Farm Watch and other people who may need our help, by offering "eyes in the sky" from the aircraft that we operate.
We have been involved in a great number of other events in the past, and have a lot of "missions" on at present, and in the near future.
We specialise in training our pilots to a high standard of "precisioin flying", beyond that achieved during a PPL or NPPL course.
Our activities range from searching for missing kids out at sea in small boats, to locating downed aircraft, missing cattle and vehicles, and much much more.
If you would like more information on what we do, or are interested in getting involved, then take a look at our web site, which is at
AirSearch UK (http://www.airsearch.co.uk)
We would love to hear from you, whether you are a pilot, or simply want to come on board as an observer, and fly with one of our pilots. We also need ground cre from time to time, and have a very good social side to our organisation.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Adam.
