Just had news that the Gulf Helicopters 139 simulator has been Certified to level B by the UK CAA. Well done.:ok:

Wonder if it also has the FTD 3 cert? If it is the one Cuesim was building, the visuals are going to be outstanding - lightyears ahead of the D sims, and better than Frasca.

Finally an option to Rotorsim. Any harder getting into Qatar than onto a heavy training in the US?

Having aircraft manufacturer support during sim development isn't all it's cracked up to be. Aircraft manufacturers know how to build airraft, which is etirely different than building a sim. The smart choice is often to go it alone.

Anybody know if cueSim approached Agusta for support and were rebuffed? Or maybe Agusta priced their support so high that it was no longer affordable.

Is the device only certified as CAA Level B? Not an FTD3 dual cert?

Hi, no idea re Agusta just that they had no involvement. From what I understand it is Level B only. However a FTD 3 addition would be wise.:ok:

Probably the best loss of tail rotor training in the world, at least on the ground.:E
