Raining no golf ,so just being nosey. Whats it like working now for Saudia in Riyadh now as I spent 5 years there in the 80's. Did the Saudization program work ie are there still ex pats working there and what are the conditions like?

I haven't seen any western expats there in the last couple of years, there are some Filipinos...... As for conditions, sorry but I don't have a clue.

Last time I was close to there was Jeddah about a decade ago, doing a Hajj ran into an American who had been with saudia since the early 80's, lost his family, loved saudia city (compound) life. I suppose he was addicted to watching his bank account grow.. Tax free.

In 1993, I believe I was part of the last batch of westerners hired for line maintenance in Riyadh. Lots of guys started leaving in 96 after things started getting "hot" in the kingdom. As of now , only Saudis, Filipinos and other asian guys working the line in RUH. Still some western expats in Jeddah OPS though.
